Collaborate Now Handles Videos, ZIPs, and Email Files

1 May 2026 Elliot Iles improvement live in pre-prod

Clip

Summary

Landing in pre-prod and due in prod in early May: Collaborate now accepts ZIP, MP4, MOV, MSG, and EML files. The bigger UX win is automatic thumbnail generation — documents show their first page, PowerPoint files show the first slide, and images show themselves as their own thumbnail. No more guessing from file names when you have 20 attachments open. Built from a POC by Bianca.

I know you see teamwork a lot in the UI, but I think it's fair to say it definitely won't be called teamwork. So I think we're all kind of back to using researcher at the moment for terminology for that pillar, just to clarify that as well, picking up on what some of the things that have been said today. Okie dokie.

So obviously we'll share an update on that in in due course as well when that's all been finalized. Reshare my screen with sound now. So on to kind of obviously one of the other pillars as well, which is obviously delivering a kind of scalable, secure and easy to use Evo platform.

Got 2 recordings, one live demo from Charles. So I'm going to go to the next slide now and show you the collaborate document enhancement. Once that's finished, I'm just going to then go straight on to the next recording, which is about Kanban rich text formatting.

So again, I'd appreciate just a thumbs up from you guys just to confirm you can hear when I start the next recording on the next slide. Hello, everyone. As discussed in the last sprint review, we are continuing to improve the...

The new collaborate experience, and today I'll walk you through the latest updates. First, we've expanded support for additional file types, and you can now upload and work with zip, MP4, MOV, MSG, and EML files. This makes it much easier to handle a wider range of real world documents and media within Collaborate.

For example. Let's open some files and see how they... Render.

Start with the GIF, for example. Also got. A video file.

And... Some office documents. Such as Excel.

PowerPoint. And... Another important improvement, as you can see, is the thumbnail generation based on the POC created by Bianca.

For documents, the system automatically generates A thumbnail. Using the first page or slide in. The case of this PowerPoint, for example, for image files, the image itself is used as the thumbnail.

These thumbnails significantly improve the user experience, and instead of relying only on file names, users can quickly scan visually and identify the right document at a glance. This is especially useful when working with many similar files. or when file names are unclear or inconsistent. It reduces time spent searching and helps avoid opening the wrong file.

These features are planned to be available in the first release in May. And at the moment, the changes are already available in the Pre-Prod UK environment for testing. Thank you very much for watching.

Hello, I would like to start by highlighting that Kanban is now enabled for all users in the main access organisation in production. So over the past month, this has been our primary focus. We have continued refining the application and resolving existing functionality bugs and addressing any infrastructure issues.
